Happy summer and welcome to third grade! We look forward to working with your children next year.
Third grade is an exciting year with a lot of academic and social-emotional growth. Students will be exploring topics like multiplication and division, weather, and geography. We will also be reading a number of fabulous books throughout the year, both independently and during read-aloud. Students will also be forging new friendships and growing in independence.
Communication is key to building classroom communities. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions or concerns, and keep us abreast of anything important happening in your children's lives outside of school. We will be sending class emails home periodically to keep you informed about what we are doing in class, upcoming events, and how you can support your children in school.
Email is the best way to contact us.
Please encourage your children to read over the summer. The Ridgewood Public Schools Summer Reading List for Grades 2 and 3 is a great resource.
Enjoy summer and we look forward to seeing you in September!
Sincerely,
Mr. Boshart, Mrs. Elkins, Mrs. Fleming, and Mrs. Vrachimis
