Friendly Reminders

Important information regarding student drop-off:

Option 1: Drop-off and go!

When dropping off students at the front of the building (Bogert Avenue) or back of the building (Fairfield Avenue), please pull all the way up and allow your child to exit onto the sidewalk side only. Adults should stay in their cars and allow students to unbuckle and exit the car on the sidewalk side. An employee is designated to be at both drop-off locations to guide your child into the building.

Option 2: Walking your child to the door

If you would like to walk your child to their designated door, please park in designated areas. Please DO NOT park in the drop-off line areas on Bogert Avenue and Fairfield Avenue, as it holds up traffic and is a safety hazard.

Student safety is our top priority. When these guidelines are not followed, student safety is at risk. We appreciate you taking the time to adhere to these guidelines. Please contact Mrs. Carr with any questions or concerns.

Student Tardiness:

Students should be in their classrooms and unpacked by 8:45 AM. Being on time ensures a smooth start to the day and prompt instruction. Please make every effort to get your student to school on time. Thank you!

Chromebooks:

Please remind students who bring home Chromebooks to ensure they are charged. Charging student Chromebooks can be part of your evening “charging” routine: dock your phones, watches, Chromebooks, etc., so that the next day is smooth!

Playground/Blacktop:

Please remember to supervise your child if they are playing on the Travell playground after school hours are over. Children should not be left alone, as there are no school-based adults to supervise.

Students should not be dropped off at school before 8:35, as there is no supervision on our playground, blacktop, or anywhere outside the building. Please contact Mrs. Carr with any questions.

Outdoor Recess:

Fresh air and outdoor play are part of our daily routine. Free play encourages creativity, exploration, curiosity, and sustained attention. As the temperature becomes colder, please be sure your child is dressed for the weather!
